HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad attends Ramadan Ghabga held by GSA, BOC

In the presence of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, the GSA and BOC yesterday held the annual Ramadan Ghabga for their affiliates at the Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort and Spa in Zallaq.

 

HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, GSA Deputy Chairman; HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Cabinet Affairs Ministry’s Undersecretary, BOC Vice-President; Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, GSA’s Chief Executive Officer; and Fares Mustafa Al Kooheji, BOC Secretary-General, in addition to GSA board members, BOC members and senior invitees, attended.

 

On the occasion, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad congratulated all the affiliates of the GSA and the BOC on the holy month of Ramadan, expressing pride in meeting them on the auspicious occasion, and stressing the importance of the holy month in promoting lofty values.

 

His Highness commended the dedication of the affiliates of the GSA and the BOC to carrying out their duties to the fullest, stressing the importance of the ongoing GSA-BOC complementarity and cooperation in bringing about major successes to Bahraini sports.

 

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad wished Bahrain continued security, stability and progress, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

 

During the Ramadan Ghabga, GSA launched a new identity for the Bahraini sport, which is “”Bahraini with a Dilmun identity”. The new sports kits bearing the GSA’s logo and the emblem of the Kingdom of Bahrain were unveiled through various models, as part of GSA’s continuous keenness on innovation and innovation.

 

The event featured speeches by Dr. Abdulrahman Askar and Fares Al Kooheji in which they highlighted the achievements of both the GSA and the BOC.

 

The annual Ghabga featured an array of programmes and competitions.

 

Distinguished employees from the General Sports Authority and the Bahrain Olympic Committee were also honoured.
