On the occasion of the silver jubilee of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Accession to the Throne and Eid Al Fitr, HM King Hamad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, today issued a Royal Decree, pardoning and releasing 1584 inmates, convicted in various cases.

The royal gesture, in observance of Eid Al Fitr, underscores HM the King’s commitment to upholding Bahraini society’s stability and safeguarding personal and civil rights. This gesture also emphasises the importance of maintaining the rule of law, balancing punishment with human and social circumstances, and offering pardoned inmates the chance to successfully reintegrate into society.
