His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, received this evening at Al Sakhir Palace, in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Personal Representative, well-wishers from the Capital Governorate on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadhan. The audience is a reflection of the keenness of His Majesty to communicate and meet with the people of Bahrain.

HM the King welcomed the attendees and exchanged greetings on the holy month.

His Majesty emphasised the continuous efforts towards Bahrain’s development over the past 25 years, highlighting the commitment to achieving further progress. HM the King added that the work to enhance Bahrain never ceases, reflecting the nation’s significant aspirations and ambitions.

HM the King wished the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people many happy returns.

His Majesty expressed his happiness in once again meeting citizens during the holy month of Ramadhan. HM the King affirmed his keenness on hosting those gatherings during the holy month, which depict Bahrain’s society culture of embracing Islamic values.

His Majesty praised the citizens in the Capital Governorate for their significant role in Bahrain’s modern development and rich historical contributions across diverse sectors. HM the King emphasised the importance of shared values such as communication, cohesion, and authentic customs that bind the people of Bahrain together, particularly during events that highlight the kingdom’s cultural facets.

During his meeting with the people of the Capital Governorate, His Majesty emphasised the kingdom’s commitment to implementing programmes and utilising all resources to serve citizens, who are at the core of all development plans and strategies.

His Majesty affirmed the ongoing progress of development towards a prosperous future for Bahrain, underscoring the nation’s commitment to success and advancement.

On their part, residents of the Capital Governorate extended congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty on the silver jubilee of His Majesty’s accession.

They expressed pride in His Majesty’s leadership, visionary approach and the remarkable accomplishments across different sectors.

They expressed appreciation and gratitude for His Majesty’s directives on implementing key housing and development projects in the Capital Governorate, recognising the positive impact on the governorate’s growth and prosperity.

Nasser Mohammed Jameel Al Arrayedh delivered a speech on behalf of the residents of the Capital Governorate in which he expressed appreciation for the opportunity for this audience at His Majesty’s palace, especially during the silver jubilee celebrations, as Bahrain progresses under His Majesty’s leadership with continued achievements for the nation and its people.

“This anniversary, which is dear to the heart of every Bahraini, is a historic opportunity for our countrymen to recall the milestones in the modern history of Bahrain, which were shaped by Your Majesty’s commitment to reform, development, and modernisation,” he said.

He said it was also an important moment to recount achievements which should serve as a point of reference for future generations.

Al Arrayedh said that His Majesty’s leading initiatives in promoting peace, tolerance, coexistence, and communication have been instrumental in showcasing the cultural and humanitarian values of the people of Bahrain.

He said those initiatives highlighted Bahrain’s longstanding reputation for these values since ancient times, noting that His Majesty’s efforts have demonstrated to the world the kingdom’s commitment to fostering peace and unity, that transcend cultural and religious differences.

Al Arrayedh commended His Majesty the King efforts to convey Bahrain’s message of peace and harmony to the global community.

Al Arrayedh emphasised that the Capital Governorate has witnessed significant development across all sectors, aligning with the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty the King.

Team Bahrain, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has diligently pursued Your Majesty’s developmental visions and goals, focusing notably on urban and infrastructure advancements, he said.

He highlighted two key projects in the governorate that had been recently inaugurated by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which are the East Sitra Housing Project and the Al Fateh Highway development project.

Al Arrayedh commended the distinguished community role played by the Capital Governorate through constructive communication with all residents, aligning with the government’s strategy.

Poet Mohammed Hadi Al Halwachi recited a poem before His Majesty the King during the audience.

The attendees then presented a commemorative gift to His Majesty the King.
