Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, President of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received a delegation from the US Congress on their official visit to Bahrain.

Dr. Hooreiya Hassan, Child Rights Commissioner at the NIHR, attended the meeting.

Al Derazi highlighted the importance of the historical relations between Bahrain and the US and the importance of such visits to learn about Bahrain’s progress in the human rights sector, ensuring rights and freedom for all.

The delegation viewed a visual presentation outlining the institution’s role and its advisory responsibilities in providing human rights recommendations.
