His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), received the ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 final report from Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the GSA; Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the GSA; and Ali Issa Ishaqi, Chairman of the Executive Committee and President of the Bahrain Handball Federation.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended the success of the ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024, which was held in October 2024 under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The report outlined the event’s organisational structure, operations plan, and activities implemented by the Higher Organising Committee and Executive Committee.

It also detailed competition venues, committee responsibilities, financial and media reports, and the ISF survey of participating countries.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad said the efforts of the organising committee have led to delivering a successful event, which brought together around 6,000 athletes.

He highlighted Bahrain’s exceptional hosting of delegations from various countries and the International School Sport Federation’s positive feedback on the organisation.

He also commended the role of the ministry, in collaboration with the GSA, BOC, and public and private sector partners, in ensuring the event’s success.
