Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, has lauded the ongoing multi-sector Bahrain-Japan cooperation, which is based on bilateral strategic partnership across various fields, especially the trade, industrial and cultural ones.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla affirmed that the deep-rooted friendship relations between both countries open wider horizons for more bilateral coordination to achieve common interests.

The Deputy Prime Minister made the statements while meeting the newly-appointed Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain, Okai Asako.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla wished the ambassador every success in carrying out her diplomatic duties, in a way that would achieve common goals and interests.

The Deputy Premier and the Japanese Ambassador reviewed the latest regional and global developments, as well as issues of mutual interest.

The Japanese Ambassador expressed thanks and appreciation to the Deputy Premier for the warm welcome accorded to her.

She underlined her keenness to bolster joint cooperation to further strengthen the distinguished relations between the two countries, wishing Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
