Shaikh Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Motor Federation, FIA Vice-President for Sport (Middle East), congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy,  on McLaren winning the Formula 1 World Constructors’ Championship and securing first place at the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2024, held at Yas Marina Circuit in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This marks their first Formula 1 World Constructors’ Championship win in 26 years.

Shaikh Abdullah bin Isa highlighted the remarkable achievements of the McLaren team this season, noting their exceptional performance and ability to secure podium finishes and top standings in a highly competitive championship. He underscored the team’s steady rise among the elite, solidifying its position as a leading competitor.

He expressed confidence in the drivers’ capabilities, affirming that the team is poised to remain a strong contender in future seasons after securing the prestigious World Constructors’ Championship title.

Shaikh Abdullah also praised the vision of His Majesty the King, supported by the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
