His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, today paid a visit to General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
Upon arrival, HM the King was received by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Commander-in-Chief of BDF.
HM the King was accompanied by Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Commander of the Royal Guard’s Special Force, Lieutenant-General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, BDF Chief of Staff, and senior BDF officers.
Senior officers condoled with HM the King over the passing of Shaikh Abdullah bin Salman bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Head of the Military Office of His Majesty the King, and former BDF Chief of Staff.
HM King Hamad praised the efforts and contributions of the late Shaikh Abdullah bin Salman in serving the BDF since its establishment.
HM King Hamad thanked the Commander-in Chief for his efforts in developing BDF’s divisions and units, praising the dedication of BDF personnel, their contributions and commitment in performing their duties.
HM the King commended BDF personnel’s efforts in contributing to the success of the 33rd Arab Summit, thanking them for their condolences on the passing of Shaikh Abdullah bin Salman.
HM King Hamad expressed his confidence and appreciation to BDF’s staff, wishing them further success in performing their duties.
